Mitch Holt will be one of a team of local riders performing dirt bike stunts at the Kingaroy Show<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The joint will be really jumping … and Kingaroy’s Mitch Holt is one of the thrillseekers who’ll be keeping visitors on the edge of their seats at the 106th annual Kingaroy Show this weekend.<\/p>\n

Mitch is part of a team of dirt bike stunt riders assembled by Ash Ekins, from Wondai, who’ll be entertaining the crowds with thrilling freestyle high jumps near the Cheers Triangle corner of the showgrounds.<\/p>\n

The stunts will begin about 10:00am on Saturday and run both days to about 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

Ash is hoping to catch the eye of other show organisers with the display so the team can expand its horizons to more shows. This is the second year they’ve performed at Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Show is the biggest agricultural show in the South Burnett and both Saturday and Sunday are jam-packed with events.<\/p>\n

Gates to the showground open at 8:00am both days.<\/p>\n

Special things to look out for on Saturday include a truck show’n’shine (11:00am), V8 tractor drags (9:30am and 11:30am near Cheers Triangle) and Clydesdale and bullock teams in the ring (10:30am and 12:15pm).<\/p>\n

There’ll also be the ever-popular woodchopping, wagon rides and vintage car and tractor displays as well as all the usual fun-of-the fair: sideshow alley (have you seen the giant ferris wheel?), equestrian events, pavilion displays and cattle competitions.<\/p>\n

The Show’s Grand Parade and official opening will be held about 1:30pm on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The speedway (entry is included with the show ticket) starts at 4:00pm. This includes V8 Late Models contesting the fourth annual Queensland Title.<\/p>\n

The giant fireworks display will begin at 7:30pm; the speedway will then resume and run until 9:30pm.<\/p>\n

Single day tickets are $30 per family (2 adults and 2 children), $10 for adults or $8 for pensioners and high school students (primary school age children are free). Two-day passes are also available.<\/p>\n
