Lyn Williams regrets leaving school and her dreams for a boy when she was in Year 11.<\/p>\n

The single mum had wanted to be a chef. She had done all her training through TAFE but love clouded her young mind.<\/p>\n

Today she\u2019s a single mother of 12 children and wonders how life may have turned out had she completed high school and entered the culinary world.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery night I watch My Kitchen Rules,\u201d she says with a wry smile.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my dream to become a chef.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today she cooks for her family at her Cherbourg home and ensures her seven youngest children go to school every day.<\/p>\n

She irons their uniforms at a night and makes sure they\u2019re wearing them in the morning and have lunch to take to school.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want them to grow to be better educated so they can reach their goals,\u201d Lyn, who is the Cherbourg State School Parent of The Month for April, said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want them to leave and chase their dreams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want them to have an easier life than me; especially the girls.<\/p>\n
