July 19, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police were called to two traffic crashes in Kingaroy suburban streets in less than two hours last Tuesday (July 12).<\/p>\n

At 6:45am, police attended a collision at the intersection of King and Youngman streets.<\/p>\n

A Toyota ute being driven by a 19-year-old Barambah man allegedly failed to give way as he turned out of King Street, colliding with a Mitsubishi SUV being driven by a 31-year-old Kingaroy man.<\/p>\n

Neither driver was injured but the the 19-year-old was issued with a ticket for failing to give way ($431 fine and three demerit points).<\/p>\n

At 8:30am, Kingaroy police was called to another collision, this time on Fisher Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police allege a Holden SUV, which had been stopped on Fisher Street, pulled out from the kerb and sideswiped a Toyota sedan, driven by a 36-year-old Kingaroy woman, which had been travelling past.<\/p>\n

Neither driver was injured.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Holden, a 28-year-old Kingaroy woman, was issued with ticket for failing to give way ($431 fine and three demerit points).<\/p>\n

Kingaroy police are investigating an assault which allegedly occurred at a River Road business in Kingaroy at 11:00am last Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 36-year-old Ellesmere man, an employee at the business, was present when a blue Hyundai drove into the business yard.<\/p>\n

A man allegedly got out of the Hyundai and started dragging the employee towards the gates.<\/p>\n

The suspect drove off when other staff came to the victim’s assistance.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 38-year-Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 4 charged with the unlicensed driving after police pulled over a Mitsubishi SUV on Jarrah Street, Kingaroy, at 11:35pm on July 14. Police will allege the man’s driver’s licence was SPER-suspended.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At 9:15am on Friday, police were called to a car park in Haly Street, Kingaroy, after members of the public became concerned about a woman who appeared to passed out in her vehicle.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officers attended and located a 54-year-old Ballogie woman asleep in the driver\u2019s seat of a Ford sedan.<\/p>\n

Police will allege the woman returned a positive sample to a roadside breath test (0.114 BAC) and that the vehicle’s keys were in the ignition.<\/p>\n

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 21 charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the general limit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
