Kingaroy’s Vintage Machinery Club is powering ahead at full-steam, preparing for the biggest annual show they have ever held.<\/p>\n

In September,\u00a0 the club will be hosting the Queensland Heritage Rally at their grounds in Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport.<\/p>\n

The Queensland Heritage Rally is hosted by a different Queensland club every two years.<\/p>\n

The 2020 rally – the ninth – was scheduled to be held at Ayr in North Queensland, however, it had to be cancelled at short notice because of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The cancellation means the 2022 rally will be the first in four years – and because of this, the Kingaroy Vintage Machinery Club expects between 6000 and 10,000 exhibitors and spectators will be coming to Kingaroy from all corners of Australia and New Zealand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club is holding the rally in conjunction with their annual Vintage Machinery Rally and their 25th birthday celebrations.<\/p>\n

They will be expanding the usual two-day event to three days to accommodate all the extra exhibits.<\/p>\n

There will be exhibitions of stationary engines, steam engines, tractors, crawlers, trucks, cars and motorcycles, as well as multiple grand parades along with vintage tractor sled pulling and a rarely seen display of dam building that will run throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n

There will also be working displays of peanut thrashing, corn shelling and timber sawmilling, wheelwright and horseworks displays, as well as plenty of food, drink and merchandise stalls.<\/p>\n

The event will run from September 16-18, with exhibitors able to set up the day beforehand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gates will open at 8:30am on all three days and admission will be $10 per person – in cash, because there’s no EFTPOS in the grounds – but children under 12 will be admitted free.<\/p>\n
