Nominations have opened for Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s 2023 Youth Leaders Program and young people from across the region – including Yarraman and Cooyar – have been encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

Young people who live, work or study in the TRC area and are aged 14-24 are all eligible.<\/p>\n

Council is looking for 25 of the region\u2019s best and brightest youth to join its 2023 program.<\/p>\n

Cr James O\u2019Shea said the Youth Leaders Program was a great way for young people to engage with Council and have their say on the future direction of the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Regional Youth Leaders play an important role in ensuring our programs are relevant, meet the needs of local young people and have the greatest reach possible,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Youth Leaders also get the opportunity to learn about our processes and the role of local governments. We encourage them to have a say and develop grassroots projects to create positive change \u2013 not only for our region’s young people but the wider community.”<\/p>\n
