Former Murgon police officer Graham Raffin is exploring his artistic side in a spectacular display of digital art at Wondai Regional Art Gallery this month.<\/p>\n

The retired officer took up art as a way to relax and heal after being involved in an accident.<\/p>\n

Gallery curator Elaine Madill said Graham’s art was an unusual medium but one which he had perfected.<\/p>\n

In Gallery 1, Graham’s exhibition, dubbed “Emotions Portrayed”, depicts multiple landscapes painstakingly prepared on his iPad or Surface Pro.<\/p>\n

He loves sketching in charcoal or pastels and has more 300 digital brushes to choose from in his work.<\/p>\n

The exhibition spills over into Gallery 3, which is filled with portraits in which Graham has allowed his inner thoughts and emotions to be expressed in the works.<\/p>\n

“They encapsulate what I am feeling to what people are seeing,” he told the audience on opening night.<\/p>\n

Graham has previously exhibited at the Gympie Regional Library and the Goomeri Hall of Memory.<\/p>\n

Wondai’s main gallery is filled by works by Bundaberg artists Ann Shaw and Tony Love.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This exhibition has been called up “All Mixed Up” as the pair have explored a wide variety of subjects and themes, including some which reflect their English heritage.<\/p>\n

This is the second time the pair have shown their works at Wondai.<\/p>\n

Prep to Year 6 pupils from St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy have taken over Kidz Korner with their interpretations of Mary as a caring mother.<\/p>\n

The exhibitions will be on show at Wondai Gallery for the rest of July.<\/p>\n

The gallery is open daily and entry is free.<\/p>\n
