Immanuel Lutheran Church in Nanango is sporting a new look, thanks to Heritage Bank Nanango.<\/p>\n

Heritage provided the church with a $7427 grant to install and paint new handrails across the front of the building and paint the verandah walls.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Regional Council heritage-listed building, in Drayton Street, is the former Station Master\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n

It was built in the early 1900s when the railway line came to Nanango.<\/p>\n

In September 1965, the building was bought for use as a Lutheran Church and dedicated later that year.<\/p>\n

Administration assistant Belinda Price said the members of the congregation would like to sincerely thank the Heritage Board, builder Josh Mangan and painter Paul Kindleysides for their patience and encouragement throughout the extended waiting periods.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project was held up due to COVID-19 and delays in the supply of materials.<\/p>\n

“Our members prayerfully thank Heritage Nanango Community Funding Ltd for our grant and for their outstanding contributions across the wider community,” Belinda said.<\/p>\n
