Friends of a Yarraman family struck by tragedy during a Northern Territory visit have banded together to help the family.<\/p>\n

Kahleesi Roser, 7, died after a freak accident during a family outback adventure earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The group was about 25km east of Harts Range on June 5 when Kahleesi fell from a moving 4WD and suffered critical head injuries.<\/p>\n

She was rushed to a nearby clinic before being flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.<\/p>\n

Her father Kim told media the vehicle was probably doing 15km\/h or less when Kahleesi fell as they neared their campsite.<\/p>\n

“I think she tried to jump out the window before the car stopped to be the first to open the gate,” he said.<\/p>\n

The death of the bubbly Yarraman P-9 student has shocked the town.<\/p>\n

Kahleesi was the youngest of six children being cared for by Kim, a single dad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friends have now banded together to organise a community fundraiser to help the Roser family bring Kahleesi back home for burial.<\/p>\n

Sandra Verdich-Currell, one of the organisers, said she was hoping the day could raise $10,000 or more for the family.<\/p>\n

She said the cost to bring Kahleesi home was about $2600 and funeral costs were about $7000.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser will be held at Yarraman Bowls Club, in Margaret Street, from noon on July 9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local businesses have come on board to sponsor multiple raffle prizes.<\/p>\n

There will also be barefoot bowls as well as live country music by Jase Lansky.<\/p>\n
