FLASHBACK: The inaugural president of the South Burnett Saints Australian Football Club Inc, Daniel Clacy, was named Club President in the Team Of The Decade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

South Burnett Saints celebrated their first decade with a party on Saturday – and their strongest performances on the field so far this year.<\/p>\n

The Heritage Round at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy marked 10 years since the club was founded in 2012.<\/p>\n

Former Saints as well as veterans of the Kingaroy Bulldogs and Jets came along for the big day.<\/p>\n

There were displays of memorabilia, food, a bar plus live music from Mr Q on a special stage brought in for the night.<\/p>\n

Players and officials from past seasons as well as this year’s games were honoured.<\/p>\n

The 2022 Bulldogs Spirit Award was presented to Josh Freeman and Sarah Nothdurft.<\/p>\n

A special moment was the announcement of the “Team Of The Decade”, which recognised some of the many talented players who have pulled on Saints’ jerseys over the past 10 years:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Saints put on their best performance of the year so far on Saturday against the Tigers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On the field, the Saints men’s and women’s teams took on teams from the Toowoomba Tigers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The women were defeated 7.12-54 to 3.2-20 and the men, 9.8-62 to 5.8-38.<\/p>\n

The Saints’ men will next be in action on July 2 in Toowoomba against University Cougars.<\/p>\n

The women will enjoy an extra week off, before taking on the South Toowoomba Bombers in Kingaroy at a special Ladies Day on July 9.<\/p>\n

There’ll be a marquee at Lyle Vidler Oval, champagne, snacks, half-time games and music.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $20, which includes a complimentary glass of champagne, nibblies and a free raffle ticket.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be bought at Snap Fitness or Bill Hull Car Centre.<\/p>\n
