The death toll from COVID-19 within the Darling Downs Health region has risen to 45, taking the tally for June to seven.<\/p>\n

When the Queensland border re-opened on December 13 last year, the death toll in the DDH region stood at two.<\/p>\n

The Queensland death toll is now 1171 since the pandemic began, with just over 100 of these deaths occurring since June 1.<\/p>\n

A total of 3055 new cases were announced on Monday morning, taking the estimated number of active COVID-19 cases in the State to 25,907.<\/p>\n

There are currently 480 people being treated for COVID-19 in Queensland hospitals, including seven in intensive care units.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since January 2020, a total of 1,251,031 people in Queensland have contracted COVID-19, including 38,668 First Nations residents.<\/p>\n

Officially, a total of 1198 people in the South Burnett and 304 Cherbourg have had COVID-19 since the pandemic began, with all but three cases occurring since December 13.<\/p>\n

The total number of cases recorded in Toowoomba has now passed 10,000, with the official figure on Monday standing at 10,011. On December 13 it was 52.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
