Have you had a good experience at a local hospital or health service? Or perhaps, there was something that could be improved … Darling Downs Health wants to hear from you!<\/p>\n

South Burnett residents have been invited to tell their story as part of a project designed to determine the health needs of the local community.<\/p>\n

The Local Area Health Needs Assessment is inviting people to share their health care experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to know what worked well and where improvements can be made,” spokesperson Wendy Pannach said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDarling Downs Health covers a wide area \u2013 roughly the same as Tasmania. We have 29 hospitals and health care facilities in our region, and we cover seven different local government areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur communities are widespread and diverse, and each has their own characteristics and unique needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are looking to get a better understanding of these needs.”<\/p>\n

The first step of the needs assessment invites local residents to tell their story about accessing a health service recently.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople can register their interest in telling their story via an online registration form,\u201d Ms Pannach said.<\/p>\n

The needs assessment will allow Darling Downs Health to prioritise its work and ensure urgent needs are addressed quickly and efficiently.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be offering one-on-one consultations and online surveys, as well as providing people the opportunity to upload written statements,\u201d Ms Pannach said.<\/p>\n
