A 47-year-old man with serious injuries was trapped for more than 90 minutes after a head-on collision on the D’Aguilar Highway on Friday.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident near the Coolabunia Saleyards just before noon.<\/p>\n

They found a furniture truck tipped on its side and a Toyota Prado lying on its side in a ditch.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said it appeared two of the vehicles had collided and then one of them hit a third vehicle, believed to be a ute.<\/p>\n

Three fire and rescue crews attended the scene.<\/p>\n

QFES personnel used airbags and props to stabilise the Prado to allow them to work to free the driver who was still trapped inside the rolled vehicle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was cut free about 1:25pm and transferred into the care of the QAS.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight helicopter landed nearby and flew the man in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with significant shoulder and leg injuries.<\/p>\n

QAS paramedics also treated two other drivers at the scene.<\/p>\n

The two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital for assessment.<\/p>\n

The D’Aguilar Highway was closed by police – with diversions in place – while emergency crews attended the incident and the badly damaged vehicles were removed.<\/p>\n

The highway reopened about 4:30pm.<\/p>\n
