Health Minister Yvette D’Ath<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

People who have not been vaccinated can now visit Queensland’s public and private hospitals.<\/p>\n

Health Minister Yvette D\u2019Ath said the further easing of restrictions on Monday was possible because of Queensland\u2019s strong health response.<\/p>\n

However, masks will still be required when visiting health facilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Queensland moves to living with COVID, we can now take the next step in easing restrictions,\u201d the Minister said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe acting Chief Health Officer has advised that the vaccination mandate for hospital visitors is no longer necessary to respond to the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe limit on visitors will also be removed, however hospitals will continue to manage visitor numbers locally.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe requirement to collect contact information for all visitors has also been eased.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cEasing these restrictions will allow staff currently performing concierge duties to be re-tasked to support delivery of more critical hospital services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThroughout the pandemic we\u2019ve followed the health advice and we continue to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Limitations on entry to vulnerable settings for diagnosed persons and close contacts will continue to operate for visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
