An incorrectly installed plastic hot water pipe at Kingaroy Hospital has been replaced with copper, at no cost to Darling Downs Health.<\/p>\n

In a response to a query from Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington, DDH chair Mike Horan confirmed that the original construction company had installed PVC hot water piping in one location when the construction drawings called for the pipe to be copper.<\/p>\n

“The error has been identified prior to your correspondence and Broad Construction are replacing the PVC pipe with a copper pipe in accordance with standard post-construction defect management processes,” Mr Horan wrote.<\/p>\n

“This is at no cost to Darling Downs Health.”<\/p>\n

Mr Horan emphasised that DDH was “extremely proud” of the new Kingaroy Hospital “that will serve the people of the Kingaroy and South Burnett region for generations to come”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
