South Burnett Regional Council, in conjunction with Biosecurity Queensland, is organising another round of wild dog and feral pig baiting in the region.<\/p>\n

Baiting stations will be open, by appointment only, for landholders at Wondai, Proston, Nanango, Murgon \/ Cloyna, Kingaroy \/ Kumbia and Ironpot between May 16 and May 23.<\/p>\n

Council will provide the meat, free of charge.<\/p>\n

All participants must register their intention to conduct baiting.<\/p>\n

For more information, contact the Natural Resources Management Department on\u00a0 (07) 4189-9100.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Council also has a range of traps, surveillance cameras, pig baiting stations and weed control equipment available for free hire to assist in the control of feral animals and pest plants.<\/p>\n

Officers are also available to assist with trapping and injecting calicivirus to manage rabbit populations.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 1: Due to the current weather and flooding, the baiting program has been postponed. The new dates are for the week starting Monday, May 30-June 6.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
