Entries in the\u00a0Murgon Cherbourg Youth Hub’s art competition close on May 20.<\/p>\n

Young people from across the region are invited to showcase their talents and unique points of view through art.<\/p>\n

The theme is \u201cArt Connects Us\u201d and the art could be a sketch, painting or photograph.<\/p>\n

Artworks will be displayed at the Youth Hub at Murgon State High School throughout the rest of the year.<\/p>\n

The competition is open to anyone aged 10-18 from Murgon, Cherbourg and the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

There will be four prizes: a winner and a highly commended for each age group: 10-14 years and 15-18 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First prize is a $100 gift card (Struddys Sports Murgon and Murgon Betta Electrical) and highly commended, a $50 gift card.<\/p>\n

Artworks must be delivered to the Youth Hub in Gore Street, Murgon by May 20 and be clearly labelled with the name, age and contact details of the entrant.<\/p>\n

They must not exceed 105cm in width.<\/p>\n

The winners will be decided by artists from the Cherbourg Ration Shed Museum and Wondai Art Gallery and will be announced at the Youth Hub Services Expo on May 27.<\/p>\n

The competition is being supported by Ration Shed Museum artists, the Wondai Art Gallery and South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n
