Red Earth Community Foundation will be the local agency for a three-year project which aims to help the Inland Burnett become “disaster resilient” and “future ready”.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Foundation For Rural And Regional Renewal (FRRR) recently received\u00a0$981,782 from the Federal Government’s\u00a0Preparing Australian Communities Program (PACP).<\/p>\n

FRRR nominated Red Earth as the place-based agency to deliver the project.<\/p>\n

Red Earth director John Carey said the project would build on research undertaken last year by Dr Chad Renando as part of the\u00a0Burnett Inland Futures Strategy.<\/p>\n

The Preparing Australian Communities Program’s local stream aims to support locally identified and locally led projects that will improve the resilience of communities against natural hazards.<\/p>\n
