Ms Annette Scott has been appointed Chief Executive of the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service after acting in the role for more than six months.<\/p>\n

Ms Scott, whose background is in physiotherapy, replaces\u00a0Dr Peter Gillies who was\u00a0appointed CEO of the Sunshine Coast\u00a0Hospital and Health Service last September.<\/p>\n

Ms Scott has served as Executive Director of Allied Health at the Darling Downs Health Service. <\/p>\n

She is also Darling Downs Health’s senior representative on the Advisory Board of Southern Queensland Rural Health, lead of the Darling Downs Health Research Team and chair of the Darling Downs Health Innovation and Research Collaborative.<\/p>\n

In June 2021, she received a Public Service Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for outstanding public service to community health in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Ms Scott also recently managed the planning and preparedness for the COVID-19 response and was the executive lead for the COVID vaccination program roll out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
