Despite rumours to the contrary, the Kingaroy Show is definitely going ahead this year … so mark April 30 and May 1 in your diaries!<\/p>\n

The South Burnett National Show Society had reluctantly decided it would have to cancel the show due to COVID-19 entry restrictions and announced this, only to discover within a couple of hours that those restrictions were going to be lifted from April 14.<\/p>\n

It was too late for last week’s Nanango Show – which still had to ensure all visitors and exhibitors were double-vaxxed – but it meant life would be a lot easier for Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

So within minutes of Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s announcement, Kingaroy’s Show Society president Craig Lucas was on the phone to everyone with the good news: the Kingaroy Show is back on!<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Show Dinner was hastily planned for last Friday night at the Kingaroy RSL Club where the 2022 Kingaroy Miss Showgirl and Rural Ambassador were sashed.<\/p>\n

The lucky duo are Miss Showgirl Candice Rackemann and Rural Ambassador Bianca King-Kogut.<\/p>\n

The pair were congratulated by South Burnett mayor Brett Otto.<\/p>\n
