Just over 200 people turned out on Saturday night in Kingaroy to enjoy a camp oven dinner under the stars, and raise funds for the LifeFlight Foundation.<\/p>\n

The evening, organised by the Kingaroy Men’s Shed, had been rescheduled from February due to the Omicron surge.<\/p>\n

This is the second time that the volunteers have organised a fundraising dinner to benefit LifeFlight.<\/p>\n

Ralph Clark, from the Men’s Shed, said it had been a fantastic night.<\/p>\n

“All the feedback I have received is that everyone enjoyed it. All the feedback about the music (provided by the Sempf Family) was that it was very good,” Ralph said.<\/p>\n

“And the food was nice and tasty!<\/p>\n

“There were a few light showers but they were not enough to dampen the night.”<\/p>\n

Diners included many people who had benefited from RACQ LifeFlight’s life-saving flights and medical transfers plus their family members and supporters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tina Torrens, from Torkit Business Solutions, prepared a short video (see below) of interviews with survivors.<\/p>\n

“The film by Tina was awesome,” Ralph said.’<\/p>\n

“Halfway through, a LifeFlight chopper went straight overhead. It gave me goosebumps. The coincidence and the timing was just phenomenal.”<\/p>\n

Profits from the evening will be passed on to the LifeFlight Foundation.<\/p>\n
