Showjumping and other equestrian events are in the main ring on Friday<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

April 8, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 113th annual Nanango Show kicked off on Friday morning with a big day of events planned ahead of a massive night of entertainment.<\/p>\n

Friday’s events include show jumping, harness events and the Young Judges and Handlers competitions.<\/p>\n

Sideshow alley will also be open and food will be available all day in the grounds.<\/p>\n

At 4:00pm, the excitement lifts a few notches with barrel racing in the main arena.<\/p>\n

The licensed bar will open at 5:00pm, just in time for the NRA-affiliated rodeo which will start jumping at 7:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rodeo will feature an open bull ride along with novice, junior and mini classes.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s action will get under way at 8:30am with more horse events in the ring plus stud beef and prime cattle judging.<\/p>\n

The pavilions will open at 9:00am.<\/p>\n

Other attractions include sideshow alley, food stalls, Viv’s Animal Farm, dinosaurs, a goat party and racing pigs for the young and young at heart!<\/p>\n

Trotting heats will take over the main ring from 11:00am.<\/p>\n

The show will be officially opened at 12:30pm, followed by the Grand Parade at 1:30pm and the finals of the trotting.<\/p>\n

At 5:00pm, there’ll be chainsaw and block splitting in the main ring.<\/p>\n

The Berrymen band will strike up at 6:30pm before the Heritage Fireworks Show lights up the skies at 7:30pm. <\/strong><\/p>\n

After this, the band will play on until late.<\/p>\n

Two-day tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for concessions or $40 for a family of four.<\/p>\n

Admission for Saturday only is $15 for adults or $10 for concessions.<\/p>\n
