Kingaroy residents Helen Noble and Glenda Hoffman were among the 300 guests who enjoyed last year’s inaugural “Dinner Under The Stars” which raised more than $4000 for LifeFlight<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kingaroy Men’s Shed’s “Dinner Under The Stars” fundraiser for RACQ LifeFlight will have some highly sought after auction items up for grabs.<\/p>\n

This year – in addition to a wide range of useful, special and occasionally quirky items supplied by the Men’s Shed and its sponsors – the auction will be offering at least half a dozen RACQ LifeFlight teddy bears.<\/p>\n

These popular bears come in a wide variety of costumes and many have become collectables.<\/p>\n

The dinner is the second held by the Men’s Shed, and it will follow the same format as the group’s highly successful debut event last year which raised more than $6000 for the rescue helicopter service.<\/p>\n

It will be held in the grounds near the Men’s Shed in Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 3:00pm until late on Saturday, April 9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guests should bring along their own chairs and a small table, although some will also be available on site … made by the Men’s Shed members.<\/p>\n

There’ll even be a prize for the best decorated table.<\/p>\n

During the evening, guests can get to enjoy a two-course dinner; whip-cracking; live music from The Sempf Family and Amos; raffles; a lucky door prize; and the auction of donated items.<\/p>\n

There’ll be a mini movie featuring stories from people whose lives have been changed by LifeFlight’s services, prepared by Tina Torrens from Torkit Business Solutions.<\/p>\n

And during the night, compere Dennis Cotter will be inviting people to tell their own stories.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be entertainment for children in a separate area of the grounds so parents can relax while their youngsters are kept amused; and a licensed bar offering beers, wines, soft drinks and water.<\/p>\n

Tickets to Dinner Under The Stars are $30 for adults, $15 for young people aged 12 to 18 and $10 for children aged 5 to 12 (under 5s are free).<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, numbers will be limited to 400 so an early booking is advisable.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available from Kingaroy Office Central at 163 Haly Street, Kingaroy, or purchased online<\/b><\/a> for a small booking fee.<\/p>\n

This year’s Dinner Under The Stars is being sponsored by Bega Cheese, Swickers, Stanwell, Deb Frecklington MP, Kingaroy Office Central, Torkit Business Solutions, the South Burnett Regional Council, Anderssons Fruit Market, South Burnett Hire & Sales, the Kingaroy Girl Guides, Kingaroy Scouts and Woolworths, assisted by media partners southburnett.com.au, Burnett Today and CROW-FM.<\/p>\n

PS: Because there are no EFTPOS facilities in the grounds, guests should bring cash for bar, auction or entry ticket purchases.<\/em><\/p>\n
