Twelve more deaths were added to Queensland\u2019s COVID-19 tally during the past three days, including one in the Darling Downs Health Region.<\/p>\n

Nineteen people have now died with COVID in the Darling Downs Health region \u2013 which includes the South Burnett, Cherbourg, Southern Downs and Western Downs \u2013 since the pandemic began in January 2020.<\/p>\n

When the Queensland border re-opened, the death toll in the DDH region stood at two.<\/p>\n

The total number of deaths in Queensland has now hit 685, compared with 540 on March 1 and seven on December 13.<\/p>\n

There are currently 41,852 cases officially recorded as active in Queensland, with 243 people in hospital including 14 in intensive care.<\/p>\n

A total of 23,944 First Nations residents have been infected with COVID since the pandemic began. On December 13, this figure was 28.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett also passed a COVID-19 milestone last week, with the 900th official case recorded in the March 16 statistics.<\/p>\n

southburnett.com.au has been keeping track of some basic statistics for local Council areas since the re-opening of the State border on December 13.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These statistics, from Queensland Health, show the total number of confirmed positive cases per Local Government Area since the pandemic began in January 2020.<\/p>\n

They are NOT the total of current ACTIVE cases but demonstrate how the virus has spread recently throughout the local community.<\/p>\n

We have taken snapshots on Dec 13, Dec 21 and daily since December 29.<\/p>\n

These figures are current to 7:00pm on Sunday (March 20):<\/strong><\/p>\n

                NB. Data is reported by Queensland Health daily but can vary over time due to case reviews. When we took the first snapshots, Cherbourg LGA had not been added to the list by Qld Health as no cases had been recorded there. From December 31, data is current to 7:00pm the previous day.\u00a0Numbers for all regions must also be considered underestimated. Not everyone who has tested positive using a Rapid Antigen Test has reported their result to Queensland Health. Not everyone who has had a mild dose of the disease has been tested.
