Rural firies from the South Burnett have answered the call to pitch in to help clean up Gympie after the recent flood disaster.<\/p>\n

Two volunteers from the Bunya Mountains rural fire brigade – Peter Marshall and Peter Taylor – had an early start on Monday to join a convoy leaving Murgon to assist.<\/p>\n

They took with them a brigade vehicle and equipment to help with the clean-up.<\/p>\n

The pair will be away until Friday.<\/p>\n

Other local units taking part include McEuen, East Nanango, Stuart River, Tablelands and Taromeo.<\/p>\n
