Police have identified the mystery iron bar recovered during the investigation into the murder of a 61-year-old woman at Crows Nest in January.<\/p>\n

Late last month, detectives appealed for public assistance to identify the metal bar which was located during a ground search near Krishna Chopra’s home.<\/p>\n

Police have since determined it to be a torsion bar from a particular vehicle which had been shortened to 47cm.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said this may suggest it was modified for a particular purpose, but this purpose was unknown.<\/p>\n

The connection of the bar to Krishna also remains unknown and police are looking to establish its origins to assist with ongoing investigations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Detectives continue to appeal to anyone who has not already come forward, who may have had an association with Ms Chopra or visited her house at 5 Park Road, Crows Nest, to come forward.<\/p>\n

Additionally, anyone who was in the Park Road area of Crows Nest on January 20-22 are being asked to contact police to discuss their observations and movements.<\/p>\n

The last confirmed sighting of 61-year-old Krishna was on January 20 in Toowoomba but police believe she was alive on January 21.<\/p>\n

Krishna was a volunteer who worked with Meals on Wheels.<\/p>\n

She had delivered meals in the Crows Nest area after moving there from the Allora\/Warwick area in 2021.<\/p>\n

The joint investigation is being conducted by detectives from the Toowoomba CIB and the Homicide Investigation Unit.<\/p>\n
