Digital artist and graphic designer\u00a0Danielle Leedie Gray is chuffed that she has been named an “influential identity under 30”.<\/p>\n

The Courier-Mail newspaper has been identifying young movers and shakers in various Queensland towns and Danielle – who was raised in Kingaroy – has been selected as part of the Top 30 for Ipswich.<\/p>\n

She told southburnett.com.au<\/strong> it was a big surprise when she found out.<\/p>\n

Danielle is proud of her Wakka Wakka \/ Bidjara heritage which steeps her artwork.<\/p>\n

Her designs have been incorporated in a range of items, including textiles, large murals and cover designs.<\/p>\n

They have also been featured on jewellery and greeting cards which have proven popular at the Museum of Brisbane’s gift shop.<\/p>\n

Danielle recently completed a commission for the Archdiocese of Brisbane’s new auxiliary bishop, Tim Norton, creating motifs for use on his vestments.<\/p>\n

She is also in the\u00a0process of releasing a stationary range through her First Nations social enterprise, Gulbari (Bidjara for “emu”).<\/p>\n

Danielle moved to Ipswich in 2019 and made an immediate impact, being named\u00a0Ipswich’s 2020 Cultural Person of the Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She also does volunteer work locally, including at the local\u00a0Kambu health service.<\/p>\n

The newspaper described Danielle as a “powerhouse” in the Ipswich community, a label which also describes her blossoming career as a freelance designer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
