A woman aged in her 40s had to be cut free from her wrecked vehicle after a head-on crash blocked traffic on the New England Highway on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident, near Cabarlah, at 5:47pm.<\/p>\n

The RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was also called, and was able to land on the highway close to the crash site.<\/p>\n

The LifeFlight\u00a0crew worked alongside QFES and QAS personnel to free and treat the woman, who had suffered multiple injuries.<\/p>\n

She was then flown\u00a0to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n

QAS paramedics transported two other people to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition: a teenage girl with abdominal injuries and a woman aged in her 50s with chest injuries.<\/p>\n

Police closed the highway while emergency crews worked at the scene.<\/p>\n

A man aged in his 20s suffered a head injury when his vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a tree at Inverlaw in the early hours of Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident near the intersection of Minmore Road and Deep Creek Road at 2:30am.<\/p>\n

A QAS spokesperson said the man was transported to Kingaroy in a stable condition along with a teenage boy who had no obvious injuries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
