Bunya Mountains Rural Fire Brigade members sprang into action after a large tree fell across Rainforest Road, the access road to the Bunya Mountains Rainforest Estate, on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

The tree fell just after 10:00pm, bringing down power lines and triggering protective equipment on Ergon Energy’s electricity network, blacking out about 61 local residents.<\/p>\n

Ergon Energy customers in Rainforest Drive, Rainforest Road, Bidwilli Drive, Bidwilli Crescent, Bowerbird Lane, Lillypilly Avenue and Lillypilly Place were affected.<\/p>\n

The rural firies cleared access on the roadway while Ergon crews worked to restore power, estimated to be back by 5:00pm, Monday.<\/p>\n
