Wondai Art Gallery is featuring a “Symphony In H2<\/sub>O” this month with artworks exploring the movement and flow of water.<\/p>\n

Gold Coast artists Louise Corke and Petra Daecke have works exploring seascapes, waterfalls and flowing water in creeks and rivers.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately neither artist was able to attend the exhibitions opening night on Friday, but Gallery curator Elaine Madill enthusiastically explained the “stirring” themes behind the works, ranging from peace and happiness to excitement, exhilaration, wonderment and gratitude.<\/p>\n

In Gallery 3, Nanango artist Julie Taschke, who paints as j0ti, has works exploring multiple styles in “In My Spare Time”, a result of “brainstorming” to release the thoughts out of her head which accumulate from a busy lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Julie has been offering regular art classes in The Studio at the Wondai Gallery and at the CWA Hall in Nanango.<\/p>\n

In Gallery 1, artist Rachel Watson – who recently moved to Kingaroy from Victoria – has been exploring nature and her imagination in a range of colourful works.<\/p>\n

The exhibitions will remain on show at the Wondai Gallery all month. Entry is free.<\/p>\n
