Murgon cricketer Courtney Sippel was named Player of the Match in the Australia A victory over England A on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Australian women claimed a 52-run victory over the English, helped in no small part by Sippel’s four wickets.<\/p>\n

The one-day match, the third in the series, was played at EPC Solar Park in Canberra.<\/p>\n

Sippel finished with 4\/31 off 9.1 overs, and at one point was on a hat-trick, claiming the scalps of\u00a0Mady Villiers and Ellie Threlkeld in consecutive balls.<\/p>\n

Her other victims were Alice Davidson-Richards and\u00a0Sarah Glenn.<\/p>\n

Australia A was 9\/261 at the end of their 50 overs and then bowled out the English side for 219 in the 47th over.<\/p>\n

The victory completed a clean sweep by Australia A in the series.<\/p>\n

They won their first T20 matches, played in Adelaide, by three wickets and 10 wickets respectively. The third game was washed out.<\/p>\n

Shifting to Canberra for the one-day series, the Aussies won Game 1 by 42 runs and Game 2 by eight wickets before the 52-run win in Game 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
