Murgon police and Murgon Neighbourhood Watch are teaming up on Saturday morning to make life harder for number plate thieves.<\/p>\n

They’ll be running a Turning The Screws On Crime session opposite Clifton Motors in Macalister Street, Murgon, between 8:00am and 11:00am.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Turning the Screws on Crime is an initiative aimed at raising community awareness about number plate theft.<\/p>\n

The campaign promotes the use of one-way screws to attach number plates to vehicles, making it more difficult for offenders to steal the plates.<\/p>\n

The screws are designed to send a message to potential thieves that the plates will be too hard to remove.<\/p>\n

The session will refit existing number plates with one-way screws for a $3 fee, which will be donated to Murgon Neighbourhood Watch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
