The South Burnett Orchid Society’s annual orchid show – run to coincide with Wondai’s Autumn Garden Expo – drew a good crowd to the Wondai Diggers Club on Saturday.<\/p>\n

It’s become something of a tradition for visitors to the Expo to drop into the club on their way to the sportsgrounds.<\/p>\n

This is the fourth show the club has held in Wondai, and it’s getting bigger and bigger every year.<\/p>\n

Club president\u00a0\u00a0Alwyn Waldron said there were about 200 entries, more than last year.<\/p>\n

The champion orchid of the show was a spectacular (and tall) cattleya hybrid grown by Russ and Jan Hopkins, from Ningi.<\/p>\n
