January 25, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blackbutt Art Gallery and Murgon’s Creative Country Association have received grants under the Federal Government’s\u00a0Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) program.<\/p>\n

Blackbutt Art Gallery received $1128 to replace inefficient lighting and save on energy costs.<\/p>\n

The Creative Country Association, which is building the cultural centre and fossil museum in Macalister Street, Murgon, received $3000 to assist with the fitout for a mental health workshop.<\/p>\n

The building is due to open in April and the grant will fund tables and chairs plus some art supplies.<\/p>\n

Community-run arts, cultural and heritage organisations have been encouraged to apply for a CHART program grant.<\/p>\n

Applications are open until April 29, or until allocated funding is expended.<\/p>\n

The Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) is delivering the program on behalf of the Federal Government.<\/p>\n
