{"id":312127,"date":"2022-01-11T23:44:08","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T13:44:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=312127"},"modified":"2022-01-12T00:01:04","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T14:01:04","slug":"case-numbers-climb-slightly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2022\/01\/11\/case-numbers-climb-slightly\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Numbers Climb Slightly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>January 11, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reported new cases of COVID in the South Burnett and Cherbourg regions appear to be slowing, with just three announced by Cherbourg Council on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>This would take the number of cases in the community to 100 since the latest wave of the pandemic hit the town on December 30.<\/p>\n<p>The latest official figures for the South Burnett have also slowed, with just five more positive cases added to the tally up until 7:00pm on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, health officials are urging residents who have not been vaccinated to do so immediately, and those eligible for their second shot or booster not to delay.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vaccination clinic are running at CRAICCHS in Cherbourg from 8:30am to 4:00pm on weekdays.<\/p>\n<p>In Kingaroy, a walk-in Pfizer vaccination clinic is at Kingaroy Town Hall for the rest of the week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday, January 12, from 8:00am to 4:00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, January 13, from 8:00am to 4:00pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday, January 14, from 8:00am to noon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Omicron wave has led to the postponement of a couple of local events:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Burnett Bands Together<\/strong>\u00a0free community music event, which was to be held in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt on January 15, has been postponed to a date to be fixed later this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Kingaroy Men&#8217;s Shed&#8217;s planned <strong>Dinner Under The<\/strong> <strong>Stars<\/strong> has been shifted from February 26 to April 9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Disability &amp; Mental Health Expo<\/strong>, which was to be held in Murgon on March 27, has been postponed to a date to be fixed. Data is reported by Queensland Health daily but can vary over time due to case reviews. When we took the first snapshots, Cherbourg LGA had not been added to the list by Qld Health as no cases had been recorded there.
