A 29-year-old Kingaroy man faces multiple charges after a spate of graffiti sprung up around Kingaroy at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Police will allege the man tagged multiple pieces of public and private property.<\/p>\n

His targets allegedly included The Peanut Van in Kingaroy Street as well as the plinth of the new Big Peanut statue and other items in Lions Park.<\/p>\n

Also damaged were signs, other pieces of public infrastructure and public transport.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said that about 3:00pm on Monday, police searched an Alford Street address where they located a man allegedly in possession of graffiti implements.<\/p>\n

Police also allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and a drug utensil.<\/p>\n

The man has been charged with 12 counts of wilful damage, possessing graffiti instruments, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a drug utensil.<\/p>\n

He is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 3.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
