The winners of the inaugural “Santa’s Workshop” – aimed at enticing businesses to fill their windows with Christmas magic – were announced by South Burnett Regional Council CEO Mark Pitt on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

“Santa’s Workshop”\u00a0is part of the Pitt family’s Christmas Spirit Initiative.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2021, we launched the second phase of our Christmas Spirit Initiative with Santa\u2019s Workshop,” Mark said.<\/p>\n

Phase 1 is “Santa Claus Lane” (the winners of this will be announced on Thursday).<\/p>\n

“There was an impressive number of entries for the first year,” Mark said.<\/p>\n

Mark said he was proud of the trophies and the Santas, which were purchased locally in South Burnett.<\/p>\n

Nicola Pitt thanked Hancock Prospecting for funding the initiative and “enabling us to share the love\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said “Santa\u2019s Workshop” had brought something special to the children of the South Burnett at Christmas.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany South Burnett children will not get to see the Brisbane window displays created by the large department stores that older residents fondly remember,” Nicola said.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to recreate the wonder and awe for local kids of looking into those windows and dreaming of what Santa\u2019s Workshop is really like..<\/p>\n

\u201cSanta\u2019s Workshop is all about the children, using window frontage and outdoor areas to create a magical, immersive display. We wanted these displays to be child-centred and child-friendly.”<\/p>\n
