The South Burnett Local Disaster Management Committee has stood down.<\/p>\n

The committee met on Friday morning to\u00a0review the latest flood impacts on the region and made the decision to stand down following reports of\u00a0receding flood water and severe weather warnings subsiding overnight.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council has asked the community be patient to allow\u00a0inspectors the opportunity to review the roads and bridges and to ensure public safety when travelling on this infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Sunwater have also advised that waters flowing into Boondooma Dam may cause the spillway to discharge\u00a0water.<\/p>\n

Council will monitor the situation.<\/p>\n

The public are still encouraged to report weather and road impacts to Council\u2019s Infrastructure team on (07) 4189-9100.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Residents are advised to drive to the prevailing road conditions, obey signs and not drive or walk\u00a0through floodwater.<\/p>\n

Residents should not expect to see warnings signs for every crossing.<\/p>\n
