The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died when his vehicle became submerged in flood waters at Yalangur, north of Toowoomba, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

About 8:20am, police and emergency services received a report that two utes had been swept into a creek from Kelvinhaugh-Yalangur Road.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles managed to escape and was now safe and well.<\/p>\n

After an extensive search by emergency services – including police divers –\u00a0\u00a0the body of a 73-year-old Roma man was located inside the second ute about 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

He was the sole occupant of the submerged vehicle.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.<\/p>\n

A man aged in his 40s was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash into a tree at Taromeo on Tuesday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n
