It’s almost crunch time in the\u00a0Women’s Big Bash League for the Brisbane Heat and Murgon cricketer Courtney Sippel.<\/p>\n

Local cricket fans have been following Sippel’s performances closely in the run up to WBBL finals.<\/p>\n

The right arm medium bowler has taken\u00a03\/25 against the Hobart Hurricanes, 2\/12 against the Sydney Sixers (including the wicket of Australian rep Alyssa Healey) and 2\/22 against the Adelaide Strikers.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Sippel topped it all off with a direct hit to run out the Sydney Thunder’s Sammy-Jo Johnson.<\/p>\n

But the Heat now face a tough task to take out the 2021 title.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite finishing in third spot on the ladder they have to win three games in a row to hoist the trophy.<\/p>\n

Brisbane will take on the Adelaide Strikers in the “eliminator” final on Wednesday (November 24) in the Strikers’ hometown.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0winner of this match will play the Melbourne Renegades on Thursday (November 25) in the “challenger” final, also in Adelaide.<\/p>\n

Then the winner of this game will have to back-up again to face the Perth Scorchers on Saturday (November 27) in the grand final in Perth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
