November 24, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants attended a three-day workshop in Kingaroy last week to absorb valuable skills to help their communities bounce back after difficult times.<\/p>\n

The Creative Recovery Training workshop was organised by the Creative Recovery Network and the Central Queensland Regional Arts Services Network (CQRASN).<\/p>\n

It was held on Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre.<\/p>\n

The Creative Recovery Network works to build recognition of the value of the arts in preparing for and recovering from disasters.<\/p>\n

The workshop was led by professional performance artist Scotia\u00a0Monkivitch, who created a circle of calm inside the conference room for the participants to explore the concepts of resilience and recovery.<\/p>\n

The training was made possible thanks to a grant under the Commonwealth \/ State Disaster Recovery Funding and supported by CQ University and the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n
