A 50-year-old Tarong man has been charged with 62 offences – including 50 counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count of trafficking – after police raided a property at Tarong on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Police will allege the man supplied more than $20,000 worth of ice during five months in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

During the search of the Tanduringie Drive residence, police allegedly located and seized quantities of drugs including methylamphetamine, two firearms and two replica guns, ammunition, and cash.<\/p>\n

The man was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Friday.<\/p>\n

The raid was part of\u00a0Operation Konopie, a five-month operation which targeted drug supply across Murgon, Cherbourg, Nanango, Kingaroy, Gayndah and Mundubbera.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Murgon detectives have charged a total of 57 people with 404 charges and seized firearms and drugs during the operation.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month police arrested a 29-year-old woman in Mundubbera.<\/p>\n

The Mount Gravatt East woman was charged with 147 offences including 139 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, and one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs and receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying and other related offences.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunity information and collaboration between regional and specialist officers has been vital to the success of this operation,\u201d Detective Acting Inspector Renee Garske said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOperation Konopie has removed drugs and weapons from the streets, making the community of South Burnett safer.\u201d<\/p>\n
