The Salvation Army has launched its annual Christmas Appeal in the South Burnett to support Aussies doing it tough this festive\u00a0season.<\/p>\n

The Salvos hope to raise $3 million this year across Queensland.<\/p>\n

\u201cChristmas is the busiest time of the year for The Salvation Army across Queensland, and we\u00a0expect this year to be no different,\u201d\u00a0Captain Tim Brown of the South Burnett Corps said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“While Christmas is a time of joy and celebration for many, others doing it tough in our community find it an extremely difficult period for them personally\/<\/p>\n

\u201cThe increased isolation, financial stress and mental health impacts of COVID-19 this year will only\u00a0exacerbate these issues. The Salvos want to leave no one in need this Christmas, and we need the generosity of the public this year to once again partner with us in support of locals doing it\u00a0really tough.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone in need this Christmas can reach out to their local Salvation Army centre or by calling\u00a01300-371-288 and we\u2019ll do all we can to support you.<\/p>\n
