Kingaroy photographer Max Walters has his stunning landscapes featured this month at the Kingaroy Art Gallery<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There’s still time to catch the latest exhibition at the Kingaroy Art Gallery, and perhaps be tempted by some great Christmas gift ideas.<\/p>\n

Until the end of November, the gallery is featuring framed art photographs by Kingaroy photographer Max Walters.<\/p>\n

This is the 10th time Max has had his works on display at the gallery, and his fourth solo exhibition.<\/p>\n

Originally there were 50 works on display, but two were snapped up by eager buyers before the end of the opening night.<\/p>\n

The works include stunning landscapes from across the South Burnett as well as vistas captured interstate on one of Max’s photographic road trips.<\/p>\n

Max told southburnett.com.au<\/strong>\u00a0he was now exploring astrophotography, and some of these works taken in the Gordonbrook area are also included in the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Art Gallery also has a pop-up Christmas Shop coming to the gallery for people looking for special Christmas gifts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From November 22 to December 23, unique items handcrafted by South Burnett artisans will be on sale from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday; and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.<\/p>\n

Gallery curator Fran Van Vegchel says there is $5000 in prize money on offer for the 2022 David Bryce Rural Art Award.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entries are now open and will close on March 11, 2022.<\/p>\n

Prizes will be awarded in four sections: Landscape Photography; Social Documentary Photography; Sculpture Award and People’s Choice.<\/p>\n

Works must depict a rural scene, person(s) or activity.<\/p>\n

More information and entry forms are available at the Kingaroy Art Gallery (opposite the Peanut Silos in Haly Street).<\/p>\n
