The 2013 Golden Spurs Campdraft attracted a good crowd to Proston Showgrounds at the weekend.<\/p>\n

There were more than 650 nominations for the two-day competition, which is a highlight of the campdrafting calendar.<\/p>\n

It has been held at the showgrounds since 1963.<\/p>\n

Winner of the Restricted Open Draft and the Restricted Open Cutout was veteran competitor Jackie Knudsen, from Chinchilla.<\/p>\n

The recent re-opening of the Stuart River Bridge near Proston eased the transport of stock and horses for the competition; load restrictions had forced a trimming back of the Kumbia campdraft earlier this month.<\/p>\n
