A\u00a0joint project between the State Government and the South Burnett Regional Council to upgrade Byee Road over the past 12 months cost\u00a0$683,000.<\/p>\n

The project rebuilt, widened and sealed Byee Road and upgraded the Kangaroo Yard Road intersection at Wheatlands.<\/p>\n

The Byee Road upgrade was one of more than\u00a0250 projects delivered in Queensland as part of the Roads and Transport Alliance over the past 12 months.<\/p>\n

Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said $120 million had been invested in infrastructure and initiatives.<\/p>\n

Local Government Association Queensland CEO Greg Hallam said the Roads and Transport Alliance was created 19 years ago through a shared desire by the State, the LGAQ and Queensland councils to improve road safety and connectivity for local communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cNineteen years on, the Alliance is continuing to deliver with the collaboration between local government and State Government as strong as ever,” Mr Hallam said.<\/p>\n
