A woman has been flown to hospital after she was seriously injured in a boating accident at Boondooma Dam on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the woman was a passenger in a tinnie which struck a submerged object.<\/p>\n

The woman, aged in her 50s, was thrown overboard and was then struck by the boat’s propeller.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called just after 4:30pm.<\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew was despatched at 5:40pm.<\/p>\n

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the patient, aged in her 50s, before transporting her to a nearby showground where they rendezvoused with the rescue helicopter.<\/p>\n

The woman was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with arm and shoulder injuries and a serious hand injury.<\/p>\n

The patient travelled in a stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedics.<\/p>\n

A glider pilot was airlifted to hospital after a forced landing just metres from a farm house near Imbil on Wednesday. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was despatched just before 1:00pm and was able to land in a paddock near the scene.<\/p>\n

The aeromedical crew worked with QAS paramedics to treat the man for minor injuries.<\/p>\n

He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, ahead of incoming storms.<\/p>\n
