Powerlink is carrying out low-level helicopter inspections of electricity transmission lines in the local area.<\/p>\n

During October and November, the specialist crews will be inspecting powerlines in areas including\u00a0Benarkin North, Crossdale, Harlin, Kinnoul, Linville, Maidenwell, Moore, Somerset Dam, South Nanango, Taromeo, Wivenhoe Pocket and Yarraman.<\/p>\n

A Powerlink spokesperson said the corporation aimed to carry out the work with minimum disruption to local communities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“During the aerial inspections, the helicopter pilot will seek to maintain the maximum distance practically possible from houses, livestock and crops,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Local residents may see the helicopter moving relatively quickly and at a low level along the transmission lines, and in some instances, it may need to pause to enable closer inspection of the lines.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
