An effort to get every parent to read to their young children for 15 minutes a day has been given a boost with the donation of hundreds of books.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy-Taabinga Rotary Club, Kingaroy Library and a Kingaroy State School parent have donated the books to the Barambah PaCE mobile library which operates in Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

Another cheap supply has been sourced from Lifeline and the Lets Read foundation established by The Smith Family also helped by providing reading bags, Let’s Read hats and short videos on how to read to your children.<\/p>\n

Barambah PaCE coordinator Marcus Priaulx said the support was greatly appreciated by the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve now hired a great new assistant, \u00a0Jennifer Juderjahn, who will run the library each Tuesday morning ,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDepending on time and demand, we may well stretch that to other mornings because it\u2019s proven one of the keys to a great life of learning is for parents to read to their children from the day they\u2019re born.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat 15 minutes a day can make the world of difference to your child\u2019s future.\u201d<\/p>\n
