A section of Cherbourg Road will be reduced to single-lane traffic next week while roadworks take place.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council will undertake two days of heavy grading of the road shoulders on a section of Cherbourg Road, beginning next Wednesday.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the work was part of a two-stage preparation ahead of bitumen resealing later in the year.<\/p>\n

The project is being funded by Council and the State Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.<\/p>\n

“In order to provide a safe work environment, a one lane road closure will be in place whilst work is under way,” the spokesperson said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The areas will be controlled by signage and traffic controllers as required.<\/p>\n

“Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.<\/p>\n
