Kingaroy police are investigating the theft of a Toyota sedan from Thorn Street in Kingaroy on August 31.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was located the same day at Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

Police are also investigating the theft of a pair of\u00a0Birkenstock shoes from outside a house in Thorn Street the same day.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the owner disturbed a man near their front door.<\/p>\n

The thief – described as in his mid-20s, dark, of average height and slim build –\u00a0grabbed the shoes before riding off on a\u00a0purple metallic-coloured BMX bike.<\/p>\n

He was wearing jeans, a black shirt and a cap.<\/p>\n

Investigations into both incidents are continuing.<\/p>\n

  • About 8:00am on August 30, police intercepted a 23-year-old Memerambi woman driving a Suzuki on Kefford Street after her vehicle\u2019s speed was recorded at 85km\/h in 50km\/h zone. The woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with speeding and unlicensed driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • At 10:24am the same day,\u00a0police stopped a Holden on the Bunya Highway. The driver, a 33-year-old Toowoomba woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with unlicensed driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • About 30 minutes later, police stopped a\u00a0Jaguar sedan being driven by a 49-year-old Wondai man on the Bunya Highway. He allegedly returned a positive sample to a roadside drug test and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 25 charged with drug-driving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • A 26-year-old Memerambi man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils after police searched a house in King Street, Kingaroy, on September 4.
